Combininghigh-speed 30-frames/second game play with support for up to 1024(768resolution, Jaton's 3D Game Card is a way of providing PC users witha high-performance 3D graphics upgrade solution for their earlier generation2D graphic cards at an affordable price.
This new 3D graphics card will enable users to build on their earliergeneration of 2D graphics cards and truly enjoy the performance andquality of today's 3D graphics. The new 3D Game Card with 4-Mbof SDRAM, two bundled full-version Sega games, and a variety of 3Ddemo games, will be available by the end of January 98 at an incrediblevalue of $79.00.
PowerVR architecture, from NEC and VideoLogic, enhances PC-based 3Dgraphics software, especially 3D game software. By compositing 2D and 3Dgraphics on the accelerator, PowerVR lessens the load on the PC's processor,so more cycles can be dedicated to the polygon processing critical for 3Dgraphics.
