CAMBRIDGE, UK The high input range of the Handyprobe HP3 enables the measurement of voltages from 200mV full scale up to 800V DC (566 V AC) without the need of external attenuators or probes.
The PC-based measuring instrument combines a USB oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, voltmeter and data logger with 10 bit resolution, a high sampling rate of 100 MSamples per second, continuous streaming at 10 MSamples per second and a record length of 1 Msamples.
Thanks to its wide range differential input, measurements can be performed directly on the mains power or a motor driver without worrying about making a short circuit through the instrument’s ground.
Amplitude accuracy is 0.3 percent of full scale. Advanced driver technology makes it possible to continuously measure at a sustained rate of 10 MS/s, the maximum measuring time being only limited by the available hard drive space.
Both input terminals of the HP3 differential input have a high impedance with no connection to ground as in conventional oscilloscopes.
The specially developed low noise differential measuring lead is highly insensitive to external interfering signals, which allows the two leads to be placed up to two meters apart, while picking up very little interference.
Measurement software shipped with the unit turns the HP3 into an oscilloscope, multimeter, spectrum analyzer or transient recorder. The software provides for many real time processing operations, like determining minimum or maximum values, limiting to specified range, averaging, filtering, applying gain and offset, etc.
The results can be displayed in one or more graphs, in numeric displays or written to disk in various common formats.
