Camarillo, Calif. The California Energy Commission (CEC) has added the Aurora PVI-5000 and PVI-6000 Series from Power-One Inc. to its list of Eligible Inverters, which facilitates rebates of up to $2.50 per watt for residential solar installations.
These inverters are said to be the highest efficiency products included on the CEC list of eligible inverters, with 96% and 96.5% for 208 Vac and 240/277 Vac output configurations, respectively.
Additional features include laptop-free configuration via front-panel mounted buttons, true sine-wave outputs with self-selecting voltage capabilities, less than 3.5% total harmonic distortion (typical), anti-islanding protection, and a range of communications interface options.
Applications include high-availability infrastructure applications such as alternate energy, routers, data storage and servers, wireless communications, optical networking, medical diagnostics, railway controls, and semiconductor test equipment.
