Myrtle Beach, S.C. - With inductance values as low as 15 picohenries, AVX Corp.'s LICA capacitor arrays perform high-speed decoupling for multiple signal paths in high-frequency switching applications. The arrays' controlled-collapse flip-chip technology is said to deliver low-inductance terminations and minimize board real estate.
The low-profile design and maximum height of 0.5 mm satisfy the requirements of shrinking electronics, the company said. Applications include ASICs, MPUs and high-frequency decoupling. Optimized for performance at an ambient range of -55 degrees C to 125 degrees C, LICA arrays come in single-, double- and quad-capacitor configurations. Typical equivalent-series inductance is as low as 30 nH. Inductance ranges from 15 to 120 pH, depending on design. Typical pricing is 85 cents to $2.50 in large OEM quantities; lead times are stock to eight to 10 weeks.
