Irvine, Calif. - Stanley Electric hopes its new tri-color LEDs will outshine the competition. Touting high brightness and tiny size, Stanley Electric delivers a new tri-color red-green-blue and amber-green-blue LEDs that offer a luminous intensity (depending on color) of up to 220 millicandelas (typical at If=20 milliamps) in a low profile 0.7-mm high surface-mount package.
Suitable for a wide range of high-density miniature display backlighting and indicator applications, the tri-color FRGB1312CE (red-green-blue) and the FAGB1312CE (amber-green-blue) LEDs support membrane switches and other display applications such as appliances, automotive, cell phones, industrial controls, medical equipment, and personal digital assistants.
The 1312CE series LEDs each contain three individual LED dies. Their narrow, triangular three-die design layout configuration offers design engineers a wide choice of color capabilities. Both packages come in diffused lenses with up to a 150-degree viewing angle, depending on color selection.
Designed for variable operating environments, the tri-color 1312CE series LEDs operate at temperatures that range from negative 40 degrees C to 85 degrees C. Other key specifications (depending on color) include: 81-98 mW power dissipation, 25-30 mA forward current, 100 mA peak forward current, and 4 V reverse voltage. Derating is from 0.43 or 0.33 (DC) and 1 (pulse) mA per degree C depending on the die.
The 1312CE LEDs, which measure 1.6 mm (w) x 3.0 mm (l), are available on tape-and-reel packaging and are compatible with reflow or dip-soldering processes.
Pricing for the FRGB and FAGB tri-color 1312CE series LEDs starts at $1.26 and $1.30 each, respectively, in quantities of 100 pieces or less. Delivery is 12 weeks.
