Hauppauge, N.Y. Narda, an L-3 Communications company, has introduced the 4436 RF power divider that covers the 500-MHz to 8-GHz frequency range. The RF power divider family targets a variety of commercial applications with two-way, three-way, four-way, and eight-way versions.
Delivering low insertion loss, high isolation, and peak RF power handling as high as 1.5 kW, the 4436 RF power divider offers an insertion loss range of 1.0 to 1.5 dB for the two-way version (depending on frequency), 2.0 to 3.0 dB for the three-way version, 1.5 to 4.5 dB for the four-way version, and 2.0 to 8.0 dB for the eight-way version. Isolation is rated at 12 to 20 dB for the two-way version, 12 to 18 dB for the three-way version, and 12 to 17 dB for both the four-way and eight-way versions. Phase balance for all versions ranges from 6 to 15 degrees.
The 4436 accepts a CW RF input power of 500 mW CW and 1.5 kW peak and operates over a temperature range of 0°C to +70°C with humidity up to 95% (non-condensing). It is housed in a rugged aluminum enclosure, and weighs between 110 and 650 g depending on the level of power division. It's offered with female SMA connectors.
