Amherst, Mass. Amherst Systems Associates Inc. (ASA Corp.) has released Version 6 of its M1 oscilloscope tools software family. The key improvement in this new release is a unique patent-pending technology called "Isolated Sub-Population Analysis", or ISPA, which enables scope users to better understand and debug two classes of signal behaviors those that repeat, and those that can be associated with events or behaviors on other signals.
ISPA provides the "back end" of the process to take anomalies discovered by M1's Hidden Anomaly Location (HAL) technology, as well as other event-isolating capabilities of M1 OT, and determine what their root causes are. ISPA creates an analysis population that is comprised only of the events of interest; none of the "normal" events that comprise the majority of the waveform present in the isolated sub-population (ISP), ASA said. The ISP can then be explored and analyzed separately using M1's collection of existing debug tools.
Pricing: Existing M1 users with an active software subscription are eligible to install this upgrade at no additional charge. M1 OT uses scalable pricing; prices ranges from $995 to $7995. You can request a quote at: www.amherst-systems.com/online-store.htm
