Gartner Analysts always push out what their highest paying customers want the public to hear. Gartner has gone from a reputable firm to just an advertising firm. I wouldn't trust their advice, and haven't for about 7-8 years. Their advice is normally no better than you can get just by keeping up with tech publications and press releases.
