Do you have some concrete evidence that this has ever caused any kind of audible effect?

This doesn't make any sense.  You can't produce something from nothing.

It is quite right that audio streaming has come to an age, as after the networking technologies allowed streaming video signal, people now only use video streaming, if they have only audio file to be streaming they put some pictures and make a video file of it and they stream it.
