Organic Solar Cell efficiency is chasing Silicon based solar cells efficiency. It seems that within very short time it will come together.

Organic solar cell is far behind solid-state PV in terms of efficiency, reliability, and even cost. The selling points of organic PVs are flexibility and low temperature manufacturing.
