Then again I suppose you could have a "tedium" of bores.

For the three unlisted letters what about

a forest of umbrellas

a pencil of X-rays (when they all meet at a point).

and, a barber's shop of yaks.

I quickly scanned through Wikipedia's list and spotted a gulp of swallows.

For ICs what about a "Spock" of logic chips?

@Caleb: ...there's also a congress of owls.

I like "a congress of idiots" but I don't think "a congress of owls" is official (although it might be appropriate). There is "a parliment of owls" and "a wisdom of owls" I believe.

@kfield: A murder of crows.

In addition to "a murder," you can also have "a horde of crows," "a parcel of crows," or -- my favorite -- "a storytelling of crows"

@antedeluvian: I wonder how many people realise that it's a Spoonerism.

Q: Do you know the difference between a blind sharpshooter and a constipated owl?

A: The sharpshooter shoots and shoots, but never hits; the constipated owl hoots and hoots, but never...
