Thanks for taking a complicate subject and trying to make it simple.  As you know, there is a lot more involved with computer networking to make it meet the needs of the end users.  And we are not going to mention the area of information security because that is an area all to itself.  Computer networking has improved over the years with the use of excellent computer networking monitoring software on the market.
