in general the gyroscope that is used to detect the orientation to awake from the sleep mode have a lot of current consumption, will these IMUs solve the problem?

Not all the sensors need to be on-mode all the time but foresure many applications can get benefit from the low-power consuption of the IMU. Small footing and integration are always good to have in any product.
