Intel's healthcare work is indeed intriguing. They also have another chip, a proteomics platfom , which is able to detect few hundred thousand proteins , and i supposed to be very cheap, made by regular fabs. It's used by healthtell which builds a platform to diagnose many disease at an early stage.

That 10nm of Samsung looks very close to Intel's 14nm, in terms of SRAM size. You can't win Moore's Law by renaming your process nodes to smaller numbers.
